Official Trailer Three :  The Marsh Adventures

Five friends living in the confines of the serene and idyllic marsh.  Until one day their world is turned upside down, as a message conveyed by one of the friends opens a door to a long known, but little believed, legend.  That is, the legend of the Dragon Hunters.

Many doubt.  It's not possible.  I don't believe it.  It's only to keep the young insects from wandering outside the marsh. Until...

“I saw one today,” this time Kincaide spoke directly to Mepho.  “A Dragon Hunter.”

“NO!” Mark turned back towards Kincaide.  “I don’t believe you!”

“Aren’t the Dragon Hunters just a legend,” said Mepho, asking as much as telling Kincaide when he made the statement.

The four friends all turned their attention to Kincaide.

“Latricia is a legend,” started Kincaide, “…Big Mouth is a legend…even I am a legend, “ Kincaide added much emphasis to the “I”.  “But we ALL are real, aren’t we?” One could not look into the eyes of Kincaide to tell what she was thinking, they were black as the night of a dark moon.

Will the four little friends, Mepho the Mosaic Darner, Mark the Great Blue Skimmer, Glower the Saye's Firefly, and Wenzel a Blue Bottlefly, rise to the occasion and become heroes, or will legend tell a new tale of defeat.  Will the other insects of the marsh rise up and join them, as the old legend spoke of so long ago?

Join the insect friends on the quest of a lifetime - children will encourage Wenzel as he faces down Latricia, children will shout as Mepho attempts to outrun Alder the Willow Flycatcher, and children will laugh at Mark's adventures in "Australia" - all coming down to one edge of your seat conclusion in this wild ride of a story about survival in a marsh, friendships, and sacrifices.

For the record, I wrote this story for my son Jacob, when he was 5 years old...that was three years ago of this writing.  Jacob is homeschooled and at the time we could not find books he had interest in - he had an engineering and logical mind, and was not a "see spot run" kid.  So, I wrote this story, a chapter every other night, reading the new chapter on the off nights.  Three years later I submitted the story to a publisher, they were enamored by it, and so here we are.  Jacob loved the story and gave it two thumbs up at the end...I hope you enjoy it as much as Jacob did...it was worth it.

…Mepho came to his senses, realizing the mistake he had made, just as  he saw the dark shadow appear below him.  Without a second’s warning, Big Mouth burst from the water in an acrobatic arch…his mouth wide open and ready to swallow Mepho in one gulp.
