Jacob

Jacob is an avid and die-hard fisherman - as can be seen by this photo. He started a custom lure business when he was 6 years old, and published his first book about fishing when he was 6 years old. He is now working on two other books down the fishing line, and hopes to have those out by May of this year, in time for Market. One will only be sold at Market, but the second will be sold at Market and also on Amazon. His original and first book is only sold at Market, and he has sold over 300 copies. Not bad. The Green-Eared Tackle Box: How to Fish for your Big Fish

This was my son's first book, published at 6 years old. It details out how to fish for 10 species of fresh-water fish. It also includes a fish diagram and fish batter recipe. Fully illustrated by Jacob himself. Unfortunately, he only sells this book at the local Farmers Market. It is however available through the Mitchell, Indiana, library for library transfer. Jacob dictated this book over a period of three months. Each fish contains information about habitat and how to catch. It is a fun and educational book to get children interested in fishing, or for children who have already began their fishing journey.

The Green-Eared Tackle Box: The Jolly Harbor Cafe Recipe Book

The fish batter recipe Jacob put in How to Fish for your Big Fish, was such a hit, he decided his next book would be a recipe book. Jacob loves to cook, but this book is from the annals of the Jolly Harbor Cafe. Any time Mama is out during mealtime, the Jolly Harbor Cafe is open! Mainly filled with desserts it does contain main courses, drinks and more. Again, unfortunately, this one is also only sold at the local Farmers Market. This does contain all original recipes created by Jacob. The book is still in production but we do expect it to be ready come May. It also will contain illustrations by Jacob throughout the book.

The Green-Eared Tackle Box: Simple Guide to Making Fishing Lures

This is a joint effort by my son and I. Jacob makes custom lures (among other fishing tackle) that he sells at the Farmers Market. He has over three-years experience and nearly a thousand lures made...so we decided to write this book on the ins and outs of making fishing lures. Very detailed with photos on almost every page. We will sell this book at both the Farmers Market and on Amazon. Lures are not all that hard to make, inlcude a minimal investment cost, but there is no greater satisfaction than catching a fish of any size on a lure tht you have made. This book will have you up and making fishing lures in no time.
